Sermons on Joshua

At the end of his life, Joshua charges Israel to remember the Lord’s faithfulness, to keep His word, to stay pure and holy, and to cling to and love their God.

We can flee to God’s place of refuge – the Lord Jesus Christ – who is a safe place for lost and ruined souls.

God’s character and relationship to His people in this world never fails to surprise us.

Our spiritual enemy, the devil, seeks to deceive us into self-reliance and living by sight and not faith. His goal is to usurp God’s work in our lives and turn our trust from Christ to ourselves.

God’s people are bound to him in a covenant, confessional in its expression, sacrificial in its basis, and inclusive in its extent. The Lord’s Supper is an ongoing reminder and renewal of our covenantal vows of faith.

Sin destroys everything it touches, therefore we must be ruthless in evicting it from our lives. Our hope for full victory lies in Christ who became sin for us and gives us His righteousness.

Knowing God is more critical to our lives than the conquering of obstacles in our path.

Remember God’s work in your life and ensure you pass it on to succeeding generations.
