Annually on the last Sunday afternoon in October, First Baptist has been providing a nutritious meal to the homeless and needy people of downtown Indianapolis via the Metro Baptist Center. Due to Covid-19 concerns, things will be slightly different compared to previous years.
Our plan is to put together carry-out ‘sack’ meals to be distributed outside the Metro Baptist Center building. We will include chili, crackers, PB&J sandwiches, and fruit. Only First Baptist volunteers will be allowed in the building to prepare the meals beforehand and during the distribution of the meals. We will assemble the sack meals at the Center.
Meet at FBC at 3:00pm to go to the Metro Center and plan on returning around 6:30pm.
You can sign up to bring various items (chili, bread, peanut butter, jelly, bananas, apples, cheese) by signing up on bulletin board in the foyer or contacting the church office.
