Reaching People For Christ and Walking With Them To Maturity

Pastoral Leadership

First Baptist is led by a group of men referred to in the Bible as elders. These men are Scripturally qualified according to 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1, and appointed to this work by the church. The congregation of FBC entrusts these men with the work of directing the ministry of the church and the spiritual care of the church. Elders primarily express their God-given leadership through the ministry of teaching the Word of God and prayer.

Guy was born in Germany but grew up in southwestern Virginia.  He spent nearly 23 years with the US Air Force as an airborne radio operator with assignments in Virginia, Oklahoma, and Belgium. Thanks to the military, he's been nearly everywhere but has called Mooresville home since March 2008.  He earned his MDiv from Liberty Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry (Revitalization) from Midwestern Seminary.  He and Kellie have been married since 1990 and consider each other their very best friends.  Guy and Kellie have five children and four grandchildren. He enjoys playing board games, reading, and driving the Jeep off the paved roads.

Bob is originally from Streator, Illinois but Mooresville has been home for over 30 years. He has been a member of First Baptist nearly as long as he has lived in our town and has served in a variety of areas in church life. Bob was raised in a committed Catholic home but once he met Jesus, it was a radical conversion completely changing his life. He is an avid motorcyclist, all around mechanic, and student of God's Word. Bob and Deb have six children and two grandchildren.
